Proximity is a half chess half RPG roguelite that tests your planning and hero formation skills! Make your way past 3 regions of different enemies, with your party of heroes, equipping gear and leveling up your skill tree as you go! Consider each fight carefully, and flee if you have to. Whatever it takes to make it to the final boss!

Proximity was made in 7 days by @mrzinch and I from scratch for the 7DRL 2021 challenge.

I really like the skill trees, and the row at the top showing the turn order. I would have liked positioning to be more impactful, but that aside, I’m impressed. Good job!

Edit: I’ve just noticed some of the later abilities mention rows/columns, I take back my comments about positioning!

Thank you! We definitely wanted to add more positional abilities but unfortunately ran out of time for the jam. We'll definitely add more in the future :)

Got to the boss with the pillars by spamming everything on  the same archer.
Then crashed the game when trying to get a level 4 skill (I know the square is empty,  but I tried anyway :p ).

Damage are hard to anticipate. But the game is very forgiving.

Yea there were more bugs than we were able to fix in the period of the jam, but are fixing them and will upload a working build soon.

The 4th skill was meant to be a direct upgrade to your active skill, but we ran out of time :P
